Have a canker sore under my tongue since last week. It is hurtful. Lot of pain. Any suggestion from your past experience with this?

Ah man, mouth sores suck big time! Whenever I get em under my tongue they make it impossible to eat or talk without hurting.

A few things that have helped me feel better:

- Rinse with warm salt water. Mix a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water and swish a few times a day. Helps clean it out.

- Make a baking soda paste. Mix baking soda with a little water till it's toothpaste-thickness. Apply to the sore with your finger a few times a day. Baking soda is soothing.

- Get numbing medicine from the drugstore. Something with benzocaine in it will tingle like crazy but take the edge off the pain for a while.

- Eat soft foods you can eat without using your tongue much. Bananas, soups, smoothies, mashed potatoes, yogurt. Anything not crunchy or spicy.

- Try not to mess with it or it can get infected. I know it's hard! But no poking at it.

Hope it clears up quick man, sores are the suck. Just play it cool and soon you'll be back to normal, no worries! Let me know if any of those tips help at all.

When I had one back in like 2019, I put salt on it. Not sure if it's what we're supposed to do but it did help. You also can't go wrong with upping your vitamin & mineral intake. Especially zinc.

Wet your finger and dip it in table salt. get as much salt as you can on your finger and then rub and scrub the spot. repeat at least 3 times

Okay, never had one but heard from my mom that saltwater works. Heat water in glass and dump salt it. No clue how much though.
