Recent diagnosis of HR HPV?

Hi. I recently got results on my app of course on a weekend, so I haven’t been able to discuss them with my doctor. I’m positive for HPV HR but negative for strains 16, 18, and 45. I do not have results for the appearance of cervical cells yet but I do have a small cyst on my cervix (which I have had since before I was sexually active). I have been sexually active for 5 years. I am just so scared that I have cervical cancer due to the cyst and a little spotting between periods, although I thought this was due to missing birth control. My spotting lasts a few days and is associated with PMS symptoms then goes away. PLEASE help me understand this before I can call my doctor Monday. Thank you.

I really don't think anyone should make comment other than a doctor , so my comments are completely general , you have done the correct thing by being checked , we have had many Cervix cancers here because females don't regularly check , and by then they go into cancer treatment , the only positive is cancer of the Cervix has an extremely high survival.

So " well done " and wait for your doctor to go though it with you , and please try and relax and take care.

Try not thinking the worst, waiting to talk with your doctor is the best thing, you’ll be fine for the next few days before knowing what to do next, unfortunately you won’t really know until then and start thinking it’s all the bad things instead

I wouldn’t have a clue how to help you, this is something to discuss with your doctor. I’d also recommend getting a smear test to screen for cervical cancer?

It is. But just wondering if people have had similar experiences. And since 90% of sexually active adults have had HPV at some point I’m sure they have.
