Sometimes rub the neck muscles;
sometimes fill up on water or other fluids; sometimes put ice pack; sometimes take rest and choose a side to lay on that eases the headache. I. e. sometimes if it’s pain on left side and I sleep on my left, the pressure of the pillow may alleviate or aggravate. Sometimes the side that is hurting does better when not pressed on the pillow- I. e. left side hurts so I sleep on my right side, and this just sometimes help with flow and alleviation. Sometimes neither side helps and actually sleeping on back with my nose directly pointed to ceiling and the very back of my skull on pillow helped alleviate pain. It just depends on the area of the pain the reason it occurred and the severity.
Sometimes I actually wear my glasses if I haven’t worn in a while to see if it’s something with my focus and once or twice wearing glasses helped. Few times I noticed I kept my glasses on too long so I removed them and rested my eyes from intense concentration or stimuli, and/or I completely rested them altogether with some weighted item on my eyes like a gel sleep mask, a gel ice pack, or damp cool towel. Sometimes a cool towel or ice pack alleviates the pain being directly on the area of pain, just the forehead, or just the neck region.
If all of these methods fail, including the rest and hydration focuses, then I take a pain reliever of some kind. Maybe ibu. Benadryl. Or natural ingredients instead of medicines. Usually whichever one I have access to and on hand at the moment. Also if I have headaches I reevaluate my diet or meal plan of that day and take some vitamins just in case I feel I missed something. I definitely in all of this give a go at reducing the screen time and monitor my distance from it. Sometimes I forget I’m wearing glasses while staring at a screen and it’s just bad. So I have to take off my glasses at those times.
I voted other cause I just end up trying all of these. I suppose one could ask their doctor and see if it’s something genetic, trauma related, due to deficiency or another illness. It could be something a person is not noticing in their daily routine like facing screens for hours with glasses on. Consulting the doc can help pinpoint if this is a specific regularity and if it truly is varied and random then you can also consult them for methods to try or try out some methods for yourself.
Usually pain relievers are the LAST thing you want to do because it just silences what your body is trying to alert you of. Something you’re missing, something that came up, or something passed down from relatives.
Can also be a simply thing as stress or a flu. Knowing if you have symptoms of those clearly indicates you need to approach the situation with that in mind. Giving your body what it needs. And preventing any other negative possibilities. Apologies if this is too congested of a response for something as seemingly simple as a headache, but it just helps to know, and better to know when and if you have those seriously painful headaches that are just unbearable.
I take a shower with warm to hot water and then make sure the air in my room is cool and just close my eyes and try to rest. If that fails then I'll just try a pain killer.
Not much, really. I just sort of try to relax and calm myself down. Including laying down, drinking more water, eating food, as stated in the poll. Meditation also helps me. Definitely not physical activity as that makes my headache even worse.
Medications for headaches CAN help, but I've heard it's best to not rely on them too much, as it can cause issues in the long run. Not sure if it's actually true, but yeah. I only take the meds if it's a truly especially unbearable headache.
Thankfully for me my headaches usually aren't too bad unless I'm really sick with a cold/flu and have a really high fever.
Get two cloths, one hot, one cold. Sit with your feet elevated to just below your heart ( a recliner works or footstool. Put the hot one on the back of your neck, the cold one on your forehead. Drink 2 large glasses of the purest water you can get. Repeat once or twice when the cloths lose their heat and cold.

Paracetamol, efficient since forever for the occasional headache, and cheap, just 2 bucks for 10 pills. Also read the manual.
Wait it out. I don’t take painkiller unless absolutely necessary, like if it turned into a migraine.
I don’t get headaches or migraines actually. I don’t recall a time when I did either.
I had to take pain killers as soon as I start getting a headache because they always go into a migraine.
pill + sleep
Take some Tylenol with caffeine
Tons of water.
Okay, nothing to do with the topic at hand, but I just wanna say you have the best username ever! Lol! "Turtle Poop." I usually don't even pay attention to usernames, but this one really is something else, lol.

It's a term of endearment based on a cartoon penguin. He could have called his girlfriend, honey, sweetie, sweet pea, pumpkin, sugar, honey bear, baby, angel, babe, sweetheart, love bug, boo, princess, cupcake or sunshine, but she was extra special to him, so he called her his little turtle poop. Nothing says love more than turtle poop. Feel free to use that nick for your current or next love interest.
And for the record, his name was Opus. (an equally awesome name)
Advil gel works for me.
Advil, water, and a nap
Paracetamol usually
Ice pack n drugs
