What's more painful? Infected Tooth Pain or Giving Birth?

Hey everyone, I had my first Root Canal today and I'm so relieved. For months, since May of 2024, I've had incredible tooth pain from a cracked filling that eventually turned into an infection.

I've had to endure this pain for months as I'm a college student and couldn't afford the price. But it got so bad in the last 2 weeks that I've been in the emergency room and they had to give me Oxycodone and antibiotics to deal with the pain because it was constant, no amount of pain killers like ibuprofen 800mg would help and I couldn't sleep.

I finally had enough and decided that even if I have to go in debt, I need to get the procedure done and finally... after so long... I'm relieved of the pain.

So now I must ask, is the pain that I've endure and experienced for 5 months, worse, equivalent, or less painful than Childbirth?

(Obviously this is an answer only women can answer but I'll still let men comment too)

Since you were able to function with this issue, that means it wasn't as painful as childbirth. People in labor pains can barely even walk or move, much less go about their daily activities for several months.

Also, oxycodone is not strong enough to give relief from labor pains. That's why there's a shot in the spine that has to be given, called an epidural.

Giving birth has been documented as the most painful event any singular human can experience. I’m sure your teeth issue isn’t pleasant either, but I’m not arguing with numbers.

All this does is just give me more respect for women. I cannot imagine having to deal with someone even more painful then what I've experienced. Women are amazing and y'all deserve more praise and respect because of it.

Depends on the birth. Every birth is so different. Some are extremely painful, some are not.

Trying to compare pain is foolish though.
