I was fine this morning, then like 3 o'clock I'm hobbling around out if no where

I ran out of clean socks the last couple days, so I guess that's why. This is what happens work outside and are on your feet all day. It definitely comes back easier once it's happened before though. Went ahead and sprayed them down with athletes foot spray like before just before bed and have clean socks on now. I can walk better now at least. It's always something

Aw man, athlete's foot blows! It can definitely flare up out of nowhere it seems like. A few things that might explain why it happens so fast:
- Sweaty shoes - If your feet get real sweaty in your shoes during the day, that moisture gives the fungus a chance to spread quickly. Sweaty socks too.
- Warm weather - When it's hot out, your feet sweat more inside your shoes. The heat and moisture are like athlete's foot fungus heaven.
- Not drying properly - If your feet stay damp for too long after working out or being on them all day, the fungus can multiply rapidly in those conditions.
- Cracks in skin - Sometimes little cracks or blisters on your feet let the fungus get deeper in your skin. Then it spreads outward quicker.
- Immune system - Sometimes your body's defenses are just weaker on a certain day and can't fight off the fungus as well. Boom, instant flare up.
The good news is over-the-counter cream should help clear it up again fast once you start treating it. Just make sure to keep your feet super dry, maybe even use a blow dryer on them. And try not to walk around barefoot other places until it clears up so you don't spread it to someone else! Ugh, I hate when that stuff hits out of nowhere.
It's a fungal infection. It's small, then it blooms and pow! Change your socks, keep your feet dry.
