I'm not overweight.
I've noticed that my left ankle swells & buldges over the shoe whenever I wear ballet flats.
I work in a fancy corporate environment so sandals & sneakers aren't an option.
I don't wear heals cause I don't like them.
We are in summer at the moment & I wanted to wear a black cotton knee length dress tomorrow but have no idea what shoes to wear them with.
Any ideas?
The arrow in the photo is the part of the shoe that causes my ankle to swell. The side part.

Thank you

• Are the flats properly sized? It's not uncommon for people's feet to be slightly different in size. In today's world, shoe sizes can deviate from standard of they're made overseas or by unskilled labor.
• Do you have good arch support in them? You mention sneakers aren't causing it, they have good support. Thongs allow your feet to spread out more and circulation to happen. But if the flats are structured like the image provided, they likely don't have good support or allow good circulation. Bad support can lead to inflammation and swelling, and poor circulation can cause pooling.

Eek. I hope not. It's just this type of shoe. Sneakers, boots & sandals are fine.
