No, it is just waiting to be abused. I even heard a high schooler say, "well, I guess I'll have to take a mental health day next time I have a test." I certainly have no issue with a student missing a day of school with a doctor's note, but not just because he isn't "feeling it" that day.

It's just another way today's children are over-coddled, which will just cause another generation of young adults like Gen Z, who are a bunch of pansies with no character. Children NEED to face adversity and learn to deal with it or they will become weak adults, which is bad for them as individuals, and for society as a whole.
