Why in israel, health insurance doesn't included covered pay circumcision?

Of all places israel has millions of jews who circumcision infants, relying on the claim "health benefits" like fasting the month ramadan is "healthy" to do...

They say they are "giving health benefits " to him, to try to justify the physical loss, cut off a peice, that is measurable and quite real... yet *specificly israel health insurance doesn't pay for this "health procedure"? Why?

I believe it is covered, they recently switched from allowing orthodox rabbis etc to do it to restricting it to medical professionals which might be why it wasn’t expressway covered in the past since they might have been doing it for free/with religious funds.

That's a fair point. I for one aren't Jewish at all, nor Muslim, yet I think circumcision is something I wish almost all males worldwide had done with their doctors approval , cleanliness odour etc

Actually British also stopped coverages because the cut is not a medical procedure and israelis know it!
