From a biological view, do we (women) have it harder than men?

We're stuck with period cramps from puberty all the way to menopause (45-55 years old) and then it's still painful giving birth. You would think that after thousands of years, our bodies would've already evolved into an easier childbirth process like other mammals. Nope, nothing changed. We still have to deal with contractions and labor can sometimes take longer. We still have to deal with carrying a baby for 9 months, gaining weight and our good frame we've worked so much to stay in fit gets ruined. Some women are lucky to have no pregnancy symptoms but most have to deal with morning sickness, dizziness, etc.

Luckily they invented the epidural but not all women can have a natural delivery. Some had to have a c-section. That's still layers of skin cut from the belly and the recovery time is a bit slower than natural birth.

It's like we were made to suffer for some time. Honestly from my biological point of view, do we have it harder than men?
