The Alabama virus, also known as the Camp Hill virus has sprung up in shrews in Alabama raising fears of a human epidemic. Scientists say if there's anywhere a virus could easily jump the species barrier it's Alabama. Once in the population, Alabama's relatively small gene pool would facilitate it's spread risking transmission to more important states.

Symptoms include a squeaky nose, fever, fatigue, cough, muscle aches, liver dysfunction, and kidney damage.
