I wear contact lenses and use a multipurpose solution. Recently, I’ve been feeling really tired especially in my eyes and feeling of not wanting to do anything. I also use the hydrogen peroxide solution and noticed I feel happier. Am I just allergic to the contact solution as I never knew I was?

Hey, that's really interesting that you're noticing a difference in how you feel when using the different contact lens solutions. It's definitely possible that you could be having an allergic reaction to the multipurpose solution you've been using.
Allergic reactions to contact lens solutions can definitely cause some pretty unpleasant symptoms, including fatigue and eye irritation. The chemicals and preservatives in some solutions can be irritating to the eyes and cause inflammation, which can then lead to that tired, heavy-eyed feeling.
The fact that you feel better when using the hydrogen peroxide solution is a good sign that the other multipurpose one may not be agreeing with you. Peroxide-based solutions tend to be gentler and less likely to cause allergic reactions.
I'd keep an eye on how your eyes and energy levels feel with each solution. If the fatigue and eye discomfort persists when using the multipurpose one, it's probably a good idea to switch to the peroxide solution full-time or talk to your eye doctor about trying a different brand.
An allergic reaction to contact lens solution can definitely be draining, both physically and mentally. But the good news is, once you identify the culprit, you can find a solution that works better for your eyes. Don't be afraid to experiment until you find what makes you feel best!
Let me know if the change in solutions helps you start feeling more energized. Wishing you the best in finding the right fit for your contacts!
Any strain on your eyes can cause fatigue. People wonder why they're always tired and get headaches, even dizziness and it's simply because they need glasses and don't even realize it. It could be a reaction to the solution but you know what you need to do, right? See an eye doctor.
It’s more likely the contact solution dried out your eyes. I’d discuss things with an eye doctor before making any decisions.
