In my life I can't really remember 1 person who told me "I really want to start boxing". Those who wanna do it just do it. But since I went to my first training there have been 4 people in like 24 hours who also want to do it and want to know where it is and how it was.
Is this just because they feel like it's something they want to do, or they should be doing, but they never actually pushed themselves to try it out?
I don't really understand. This gym I'm going to it's not the only one in the city if you google it you can find plenty of gyms, this is just the one I chose.
I'm doing it because I feel like I will benefit a lot and it's the right thing for me to do. But if you're just doing it because it sounds like something good to do or someone reminded you of it, you're probably not that determined.

I’m just happy you have a new hobby, congrats.
If you got more people into the world of boxing, that is really cool too.
I’m not interested personally, though tbh if someone had boxing gloves and stuff then suggested I try it out I would absolutely try it out for myself.
Yes I'll gladly welcome them to training. It was just an unusual experience for me. Usually people just say oh good for you or have fun with it. But I've never experienced this much interest where people want to start as well right away :D
@Lynx122 That is awesome, thank you for sharing with the community
I think the challenge of any contact sport is the fear of risk associated with this. I did boxing for a while and ended up winning my one and only "sporting" trophy, a second place in the club CHESS tournament. LOL
However, I've also dabbled in Kung Fu which I tried in my home country as a common gym goer where it was very western style organised and planned but when I went to Hong Kong I tried there with an actual Shaolin Monk just doing it in the street with other practitioners. The technical way it was done in Scotland when I first tried it was all about body conditioning, the Asian style much more the mind.
