What could have caused crazy dandruff for 4 days?

I had crazy, crazy, crazy amounts of dandruff coming from my scalp for around 4 days, it was crazy crazy, crazy, much, then I used head and shoulders for one day and the issue totally resolved. I used to have a different type of dandruff that did not respond to anti dandruff shampoo or conditioners, but this type responded very well.

You've experienced two different issues. The first one is caused by dry skin and is resolved with moisture - head and shoulders make no difference. The second one is dandruff, which is a skin condition that's worsened by moisture and can be managed with salicylic acid, or antifungal agents such as the active ingredients in head and shoulders.

It's probably some sort of allergy. If shampoo doesn't help, you should see the dermatologist.
