What do I do if I pulled something in my chest while running?

I just started trying to be more active, and I got freaked out when I got chest pain when I was running. From my symptoms and everything I've read, I likely just strained something musculo-skeletally, but it still scared me and I don't want to run again until the pain stops completely. It's been dissipating a bit more each day though.
