My old doctor had me on a zero carbs diet with eating no fruit except lemon juice in water. Eating eggs and meat and beans only. With that diet, I initially lost 43 pounds, but over time it stopped working anymore. This doctor has since retired.
Since the old doctor retired, the doctors I've been seeing since then want me to eat as much as TEN SERVINGS per day of fruits and vegetables. I don't do this, because I know T2 Diabetics are not supposed to eat anywhere near that much carbs. If I ate that much carbs, I'd weigh over 300 lbs by now.
Should I find a new doctor and a new clinic? these people seem to screw everything up anyway.
I swear, I am going to cut to 185lbs again somehow even if I die trying.

You might want to look for a dietician/ nutritional specialist, not a GP.
Beans have carbs so your old doctor didn't know what he was doing.
Beans are about half protein half carbs, and yes, he did know what he was doing. When he was treating me, he saved my life twice. I couldn't even walk 100 yards due to illness in 2012 when i first started seeing him, and over the next year I gradually got to where I could walk 3 to 5 miles briskly again by following his diet plan, which i was not overeating ot begin with. I have unique medical problems, or rather a combination of very rare medical problems which means I cannot take multi-vitamins becaus ethey have too much iron and calcium in them. I cannot eat nuts because they have too much iron and calcium. I can't eat some green vegetables due to too much calcium. I have to take a special B-Complex vitamin and a D2 supplement, because regular multivitamins are toxic to me.
If not for my old doctor, I would have been dead around 13 years ago, which I'm sure might have made some people on this forum happy.
I wouldn't be one of them.
That's why it's great RFK Jr. wants doctors to have to take nutrition in school.
