What is living with bipolar 2 like?

I am asking because I think I might have it. What are people’s experiences with it and how it affects their dating life and life in general like with it and anyone on here have it or know anyone with it? What happens if you don’t take medication for it?

I know I wouldn’t date somebody that’s bipolar because they have to keep changing their medication because the body eventually gets used to it and it doesn’t work as well anymore and since I’ve seen my father deal with it with my stepmother for 30 years and all the stuff he’s gone through with her being bipolar it’s really a difficult thing. Wants her medication doesn’t work anymore or she decides not to take it anymore. She starts hearing voices and it takes on a total personality change

I suppose you could because there’s probably different stages of it , like some could be more severe for some people and some might have a minor amount of it and not be so bad with just some medication and livable but she’s definitely gotten worse over the years because eventually medication has to be changed to something else that works because the body eventually gets used to the same medication and becomes immune to it

If they’re unmedicated they’re impossible to live with.

They’ll be on a manic high then be crying and very emotional. Their emotions are extreme and they will not take meds to make them more stable claiming the meds make them feel like a zombie. Bipolars as a whole are very reluctant to take meds. They’ll suffer the lows to get that manic high.
