"Dieting" is acting. You either care about your health or you don't. You wouldn't bother with these "diet" labels had health pressed you seriously. You can simply quit the unhealthy and do the healthy.
Though i actually started something that is quite similar to the mainstream definition of "dieting", specifically I go to extremes: not a single bite, purely to strengthen my devotion muscle. It's about spirit health. ㅤ
I did when I was 34.
I had always been super fit and active. But I got handed an amazing job when I was 26. I had to cut my long, rock star hair and wear a suit so I no longer recognized myself in the mirror and didn't fit in anymore with the type of people I used to hang out with.
The job made me sedentary and it was super stressful. Plus, people took me out to lunch every day to really nice restaurants and I discovered the joys of food.
So, from about age 29 to 34, I put on almost 60 lbs and hated myself.
In 1984, the company offered to pay for Weight Watchers for any employee who wanted to enroll. I did. And in less than 6 months, I lost all the weight and got back in great shape.
At my first full time job, it was mandatory for everyone to regularly stretch and use shop equipment to exercise. Not even a single piece of proper gym equipment. But everyone was physically stronger than the average gym goer.
Nope, I don’t think about dieting or losing weight. I do however want to shift my palate to try new things.
Interesting spam to get in your inbox, the woman doesn’t look like she’s trying to lose weight more than trying to be a “sexy carpenter” in a roleplay scenario lmao (the tape measure and the jeans also white top all spell out carpenter I don't know).
I am on a diet for general health. Clean whole foods, low fat make me feel the best, inspired by the traditional Okinawa diet. Though I've recently been experimenting with adding a bit more healthy fat for hormonal health.
I do not need to lose weight and I avoid calorie restriction/tracking.
I went through all of that from the age of 18 to 20. I lost almost half of my body weight. Yes, I really was that big.
I stayed clean from sugar and carbs for a couple of months after the Yuletide season and successfully lost 8 pounds until I felt “hangry” which prompted me to get back to my normal habits again. Fortunately, learned to hold on to good habits to keep the weight off so far.
I did a carnivore diet a couple of years ago and lost 75 pounds
It was the best thing I ever did
But I eventually switched back to a regular diet, regained a bit of weight but still stabilized at way less than my starting point
Nope, I try to eat healthy and I go to the gym so I'm in decent shape.
Going on diet means temporarily changing your habits. It won't last.
A diet no, but staying fit yes. Strict diets have the opposite effect, they can't last and the results won't last.
Not really diet but I like to eat along the keto plan with really low carbs. It works good for me except when I get into holiday candy. 😳
Most of the 'food cravings' one gets is actually for sugar. In the last few decades, the US food industry has pumped so much sugar in everything which has led to mass obiesety. First step, cut the sugar. I know it's easier said then done!
Diet no.. Have I recently decided to be more cognizant of the amount of calories I take in and the types of food they come from in an attempt to lose weight,, yes I have. Dieting is a fad. Healthy eating is a lifestyle choice.
@jennz6 Jenn, I don't diet, I am on a lifestyle that keeps my weight where I want it to be, for the most part. I exercise (sometimes very vigorously) and eat moderately, and only things that will not put weight on me.
Im on a diet, a healthy diet. Portion control and healthy foods.
I'm a pretty weight-conscious guy. I'm on a diet right now. Actually, I'm on two. There's just never enough food in one.
I try to maintain a low carb diet, because I have a strong family history of diabetes.
I have no need to fortunately. I run or swim almost every day and am toned and slender, but not skinny.
I pay close attention to my diet. I generally stick to vegetable-based diets, and I've been doing this for years. And I've been involved in sports for years as well.
I am going on a low carb diet. I have lost 8 pounds already.
Yeah, I do because I feel like I could lose 15 or 20 pounds but it’s so hard because I’m always so hungry because of work
As a diabetic, blood sugar & weight loss are priorities for health reasons. I DO NOT recommend diet drugs Wegovy, etc. If you want to diet, diet & exercise! DON'T USE DRUGS!
I've dieted from time to time. Right now I'm just eating sensibly.
No. Only because my metabolism is still off the charts.
No, but I seriously think about spam control lol
I recently got my own spot no more roommates. Now I have nobody to cook for. I realized I only eat something every couple days.
No. I'm very active
Nope, never have.
I ( have no need to diet yet.
My best diet is simply not eating
No, I'm disciplined enough to eat healthy
