And do you look away for any when they do any other medical exams or procedures?

I look at everything they’re doing very carefully except them like if they’re examining my face I don’t look at them cause that’s really awkward lol But otherwise, I don’t like having things done where I can’t see especially with stuff like blood work it doesn’t make you feel better to look away. I understand that that does work with some people. I just don’t understand how that’s helpful. I’m still feeling it, but I don’t know when it’s coming and when it’s stopping, yeah that doesn’t work for me. and otherwise during an exam, it’s awkward to just be staring off into space so I will usually watch what they’re doing and then ask questions or talk about something related to the exam except again, if their examining my throat or eyes or something really they have to stare directly way too close. I can’t get used to it. somebody being all in my face, so I’m not about to kiss it’s just really awkward 😂

No I watch what they're doing. And also give advice on where to drawl blood since I have small veins it seems like 60% of the time they think they'll be able to get it from where the elbow bends and they usually don't succeed. Could of save them the trouble if they just took my advice and go for my hand.

No, I do not look away. In fact, I look exactly at what they're doing because I want to make sure that:They're doing it correctly
I want to observe how they're doing it
I might learn something since I don't do this kind of medicine routinely. And I understand why some people look away, but I'm more interested in what's going on.

This just made me realize the last time I got a checkup, I was young enough the doctor checked my balls. 😂

Anywho, I hate shots but something in me needs to see how much my skin moves before the needle pushes through so I can understand how much force it takes 🥹

Injections don't bother me, although whenever possible I take them in the gluteus maximus instead of the arm. It's much less painful. I don't watch the needle insertion for a blood draw but after it's in I have no problem watch the tubes or bag fill.

Nope. I'm the guy who likes to watch my heartbeat when a lab draws blood by seeing the blood pump into the test tube they attach to the hypodermic needle.
