What are they like and what are the signs of it? Is it a lot of impulsivity? What causes it in bipolar disorder? And what can fix it?

I do know someone that has bipolar disorder and when she does have her bouts, they usually last a few days where it is best to leave her alone and not irritate or aggravate her. She told me herself that she has bipolar disorder but she never mentioned hypomania.

Upon searching the term on the internet, I would say that it could match with how she behaves on those days. I know she is being under medical treatment for that disorder. She is a wonderful girl, full of life but when it hits her, she can be like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Oh wow interesting! So everyone is different with the disorder and they can be very hypersexual and poor judgement and not be angry?

There is two types 1 and 2 I have 2 which is the less severe one. With bipolar 2 this can cause those symptoms I described?

I have no idea if they are hypersexual or not. I never dwelled into that topic with her.

Oh what about others with Bipoalr? Could the poor judgement be caused by other things?

I don't know other people that have this condition. We never talk sexuality with that girl because she knows I don't like to talk about that. So we avoid that topic at all.

But one day she can be sweet and almost clingy and the next, you cannot approach her and is very difficult to talk to because anything will upset her.

I do. It can absolutely affect your judgment, and it can be treated with medicine.

Anyway if you think you have hypomania you should definitely see a doctor. A psychiatrist.

I have known people that had intermittent episodes of hypomania, and I have diagnosed them with bipolar 1 disorder as a result of that, in the presence of other symptoms.

Hypomania is itself a symptom and not a diagnosis. Hypomaniac is frequently characterized by rapid disjointed speech a lack of sleep rapid motor movements and sometimes hypersexuality or impulsive activities like compulsive gambling.
