Even guys who could bench press over 450lbs, nevertheless when tested could only punch around 450pounds of force. I've tested my punch recently and it was over 650lbs force and it used to be over 1000lbs when I was 20 years old and closer to their age and taking 15 gym hours of karate, JJJ, and kickboxing per week.
Punching power is all about technique. It's shocking these guys looked like Incredible Hulk, but couldn't throw a punch more than half my maximum.
