I swear. The government and insurance companies both want me to be in poverty. I found out the more I save, the less my insurance covers in medical expenses, AND the more I work the less they will cover. In fact, they totally cancel my insurance on October 31, because I SAVED over $2000 in a bank account. I actually have around $8500 in savings, in spite of spending nearly every cent I make on health concerns, but if they cancel my insurance, a SINGLE visit to the ER will consume the entire savings I spent 2 years compiling. It makes no damned sense that they are going to penalize me for not blowing my money on drugs and alcohol like everyone else.
My medications alone, which are already generics, costs around 16,000 per year, or 4,000 per quarter. My doctors visits between the Psychiatrist and the medical doctor, costs around 2000 per quarter.
If I work full-time, I permanently lose my insurance (strangely).
I feel like I can work part-time, but there is no part-time job which covers the costs of my medication in one year, much less all possible medical expenses. I mean, if I have yet another stroke after the Insurance gets cancelled, how the hell am I going to pay for an ER visit and even one night in a hospital, when they easily charge 10k just for an MRI and some saline solution? If I have to stay multiple days with no insurance, I could be 100k in debt or more in short order.
I don't think I'm ever going to get my life into a better situation now. I could be programming computers for a software company, or something like that, but it looks like the best job I can hope for in the near future would be "greeter" at Wal-Mart, and that won't cover the level of insurance and medical care I need at all.
The last time I had a full-time job, I had to quit on the spot for medical reasons. I've been working part-time ever since then, but only literally an hour or two per day, seven days per week, because that's the nature of the beast.

That doesn't make any sense. My health insurance stays the same no matter how much money I earn, or how much I have saved, or how much I have in other assets.
The only times these factors would be relevant is if you're getting Medicaid or other benefits from the government.
Why should taxpayers, including me, pay for your medical bills if you have income of your own, or savings or other assets? Medicaid is for people who don't have that. That's why the more money you have, the more you earn or save, the less you are allowed to receive from taxpayers to pay for your health insurance. You can't have it both ways.
If you want taxpayers to pay for all of your health insurance and medical expenses, then get a job that pays under the maximum allowed in the rules. You'll also have to spend your savings on your medical expenses until you're under the maximum allowed for that.
Bankruptcy will get rid of all of your bills very quickly.
So, welcome to the United States and capitalism. Nobody gives a shit if you live or die. Unfortunately, you are finding that out the hard way.
I don't have any outstanding bills. I've paid all of my debts in my lifetime within one year of having a debt of any kind. It's why I don't pity people who run uncontrolled debts. It's a matter of wisdom in how you spend what you have.
I paid Social Security tax and medicare and medicaid taxes, and because I was SINGLE and had no children, I paid a higher marginal tax rate than most people who made even more money than me, and I put in overtime every job I ever had almost every week.
Everyone "loves" you when you make money, but when you get sick, your friends forsake you and falsely accuse you, half your family abandons you too, and everyone else can say "get lost" too.
Funny you should say that, Democrat, because you don't even care whether a woman murders her own child or not.
Capitalism is not the problem. Evil people are the problem.
I kept a full-time job WHILE i was in LEVEL 10 ER PAIN SCALE suffering for SEVEN YEARS after the pain got that bad, but at some point it got so bad that the pain was totally crippling, and then the first two strokes happened and I lost about 50% of feeling in both feet and the left hand. I actually only type about 35 or 40 wpm, because my left hand misses about half of its strokes and I must correct spelling and stuff.
What I know is this civilization has societal problems, and paying people to have more illegitimate children is not the solution. Even the Bible states that if a man won't work he shouldn't eat... the problem as I see it is the guy who wrote that probably was never sick a day in his life.
I started part-time labor when I was 6 years old. I had a summer job picking and stacking square hay bales for $3 an hour, and that was the adult minimum wage. I did that because I had to, because back then my parents were both sick and poor at the time: I inherited these medical problems from my father's side of the family anyway, and he had multiple strokes between the ages for 40 and 50 years old, and eventually died of brain cancer at 50 years old. Anyway, my first full-time job was around 15 or 16 years old working for $8 an hour when minimum wage was still only $4.25 an hour. But I swear, the more they raise minimum wage, the worse off I got or get, because my dollars are worth LESS when they drive up inflation to double the price of everything else every time they raise minimum wage, the cost of living doubles. I was making good money before i became medically disabled. I actually made more money than a LOT of people make now, 13 years later. That's why the Disability lawyer (from Maine) said they're supposed to owe me double what they pay me now, if anything slightly more than double.
I actually had an $18.75 an hour job, working 60+ hours a week, when Minimum Wage was still $5.15 an hour... and I could have already been on SSDI at that time, but i kept trying to work, and eventually the pain and other problems put me in the hospital repeatedly and I had to quit.
Now, if I ever want to move out of my mother's house and get a full-time job, because that would disqualify me for medicaid and medicare, I'd need to make around $50,000 per year to START, just to pay half of it to medical expenses and the other half to RENT and I'd still have a hard time feeding and clothing myself.
So I'm fucked either way, not that i know of anything other than computer programming that I'm legitimately qualified to do well enough to make 50k+ per year right now. I sure as hell can't do anything involving manual labor of any kind... nor should I need to at my education level.
I actually know how to program classical electronic computers in the C family of languages, and I know how to program a classical computer to solve Quantum algorithms in real-time, but I figure wtf. I'm not telling anyone how to do it, because they literally never helped me one time in my life, so I'll just take this secret to the grave. I programmed my own operating system in C one time about 25 years ago.
Actually, despite your insults, I am very anti-abortion. I've made that clear here if you ever read anything that I post.
That being said, if we had socialism right now you wouldn't be in the position you're in. But you keep screaming and yelling about socialism being communism and you can't tell the difference. So you have what you have now. Enjoy it.
I would rather be poor and honest, than to be a rich thief.
If it wasn't for the thieves on EIC filing fraudulent income tax returns, and other BS that they never even worked for, the government would actually function correctly, and the dollar would be much stronger than it is today.
YOU SUCK AT MATH by the way. If you combined the entire NET WORTH of every billionaire on Earth, that adds up to 15 trillion dollars. That does not even pay for half the USA Federal debt, even if you liquidated the assets of every billionaire on EARTH, and about half of those Billionaires are not even USA citizens, so you actually cannot count them either.
You democrats think this is a matter of taxing some millionaires and billionaires and MAGICALLY everyone else's income level would go up. IT won't' AND IT CAN'T. The USA federal debt is just over 100,000 DOLLARS per PERSON, including children, in the United States. Paying someone a few thousand dollars per year "stimulus" will only add to this debt and devalue the dollar even more. Eventually, banks and other lenders are going to refuse to lend to the USA Government, and they are going to need to raise taxes on EVERYONE to try to solve the problem... and I do mean a significant and very painful tax will be needed on ALL income levels, including the 40% to 50% lowest freeloaders who've never paid one cent of income tax in their lives (which by the way happens to be mostly black people,) I had a 25% marginal rate at times before I got sick, because Again I was single with no children to claim, so I was always in maximum taxation per income level.
You are right. It isn't just billionaires. It's also the fact that you live in an economy that concentrates all the wealth in just a few hands. If you lived in a socialist economy, which you're completely opposed to, you wouldn't be in the situation you're in.
