Can medicaid survive the new citizens?

My mom is a hospital administrator here in Texas.

She says the hospital system is running out of funds, because they have to treat the 3,000,000,000 new citizens Biden has moved into the country, and as more than 1,600 come to join their friends every day, it's really getting to the point where the hospital will have to start choosing which things they can and cannot perform.

My mom is so scared that eventually she will see American citizens from families who built this country suffer.

Do you think the health care system will survive until January 2024?

Just so you know, Medi-Caid is denying their services to low income people, which includes seniors. These people are American's 🇺🇸 and have worked in America their whole life and need Medi-Caid to supplement their Medi-Care, which only pays 80%. They need Medi-Caid to help with the other 20% of their medical costs. These elderly and even a lot of low income people paid taxes for decades, putting into the system, then being denied Medi-Caid in their senior years. As it is, MediCare premiums cost each individual $170/month that they have to pay. I'm sure MediCaid is pampering the illegals with all kinds of free medical care, while the Americans get denied.
I don't think Medicaid will last more than a year. The thing is, once these illegals get full medical benefits, they go to the doctor for everything and are well taken care of while the American seniors can't see specialist or have tests performed because they cannot afford the 20% of the bull AND THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS THIS!!!

That's exactly what my mom says. She's worked as a hospital administrator here in Texas for decades and she's never seen anything this bad. They have to take care of the illegals who are not even supposed to be here. She is getting more and more frustrated by the week. They just flood in and some just come to give birth so the baby is American citizen by birth. The problem is it costs more than half a million every time

This has been a problem for a long time. It got worse after Obamacare. And it's continued to get worse.

One big problem I've heard about is that regular clinics don't have to take these patients, but hospitals do. So they all flock to hospitals for minor medial issues that don't actually require hospital care. It swamps the hospitals.

This is not new though. I had a girlfriend back in the late 70s whose mother was a welfare queen. She regularly went to the hospital emergency room for headaches. She did it every couple of months. They'd give her over the counter pain relief and send her on her way. But it tied up emergency staff. When a bunch of people do it, it ties up a while bunch of staff.

I’m not so sure it will survive. I’m not sure that a lot of things and institutions will survive up to 2024. We are in a world of hurt. So many people overreacted to Covid (based on many lies and unfounded fear) to the point that it literally reshaped society into something way worse than what it already was. Add all the ill intentions and tyranny of government into the mix on so many different levels from immigration, the great reset, manufactured inflation, shutdowns, fuel shortages due to government restrictions, woke culture, people unwilling to work due to government handouts, and we have a perfect storm brewing.

The social safety net cannot survive in its current form due to demographics. The population as a whole is aging. Fewer children are being born per capita, and people live longer. Because of this those who are retired collect SS and get Medi-care longer. I know that is not your specific question, but as more resources are allocated to those, there are fewer available for everything else. Unless the government continues to borrow, which will eventually either end in monetization of the debt - devaluing every dollar you've earned to that point plus making it more difficult to borrow in the future - or massive tax hikes, which likely won't work either because most people will not put in the effort if the government is confiscating 90% or each new dollar earned.

It has already started. A trip to the emergency room is a day long ordeal, getting a doctors visit in a reasonable amount of time is a thing of the past and there are shortages of drugs that were plentiful when Trump was president.

I really hope we can survive until 2024. And I pray for the red wave in the midterms. I hope president Jill can tie us over just heads-above-water until Trump comes back from his 4 year vacation and gets us on track again (if it's even possible anymore)
