Do you know what happens to someone who gives lots of blood as a donation?

My ex says he's going to start giving his blood for money and I'm worried about him doing this. What are the risks of him doing this often?

He says he's going to do this twice a week to make money because his friend who he lives with lost his job and so their kind of in a rut.

that's very common in the border, so...

he'll get used to it, rely on it... and so will his body

his overall health will start to deteriorate little by little, slowly but surely... and before he realizes it, most of his life will revolt around planning for these "two times a week"

he might manage to find someone that will get him to do it as much as possible

it can go like this for months and even years... if he's lucky to be "normally healthy" but if he happens to have certain conditions or hidden ailments, he's going to run into health issues much quicker and much more complicated, hopefully not...

Don't think you're allowed to do that often. It's more like once a month, at least here.

Actually your body replenishes blood very quickly, and it's very healthy for it to do that. But the big money is in plasma, and that's limited to once a month.

I don't think they let you give too much blood. You do sort of need it to live...
