Gym going guys i need your opinions! por favor! :'d

Ok, so basically it all comes down to the fact that there are several really fine guys at the gym I frequent.

I want to know if you think it's weird, creepy, unattractive, etc, if a girl comes up to you on your way out of the gym to flirt/talk/whatever. There are several guys that I wouldn't mind getting to know, but I don't want to come off the wrong way.

I would also NEVER interrupt their sets, because, well, that's just rude. I don't want to be bothered when I'm in the middle of a hard set, and probably they don't either.

Just a little FYI; I'm a gym rat, so it isn't as if I'm a girl who goes in there to see and be seen. I do my cardio and then hit the weights- and even know what I'm doing. I've got tone but not buff and I've got curves in all the right places. I'm also not bad looking, if I do say so myself. (Confidence issues, I don't have them. Ha.) Basically I'm saying that I'm not an unattractive/overly made-up girl that's obviously just there to find a buff dude.

Also, I don't really know if it makes a huge difference, but this is a college campus gym. Everyone in there is a college student. That does affect the atmosphere a little.

Definitely don't approach them in the middle of the workout (like you said). I think most people in the gym in general, do not like to be interruprted, and would just rather focus on themselves.

But if you really like a guy you see at a gym, I think there are 2 possible times to approach him.

1. approach him after he's done working out

2. go up to him and ask him a question about a workout (like if you're lifting weights, ask him about correct form etc). Have some small talk with him. Then you can probably have some small talk with him every time you see him, and see where it goes from there!

You know there's an unwritten code at gyms not to flirt...but of course it's a double standard, no one will come down hard on a girl who does it, but us guys have to be really careful, we can easily wind up being suspended from the gym.

But even though you won't face any punishment, most guys WILL think this is a little overly aggressive, even if you're very attractive. And of course most of them will turn out to have significant others already.

Go ahead and take your chances, but there are many more suitable places to flirt, especially for a fit good looking woman!

See, that's what I've always been worried about.

The sad thing is that there really isn't another good place to flirt. Not on my campus. All the public places everyone is going about doing their own things, and all the social events are greek-only. There are maybe two or three social anything that aren't greek oriented. I'm also not a very spiritual person, so church events/parties just make me feel awkward, so those are a no-go.

What about cafes/eateries? Can you follow him there and pretend to run into him casually?

If you D0 decide to approach him at the gym, be forceful, because he'll tend to be embarrassed...come right out and suggest you go somewhere to talk...

That would be great to do, but the gym is far from any cafeterias. It's about a mile from the closest.

And even then there's a distinct atmosphere of get in, get your food, eat, get out.

I'll remember the forceful part. If I do go bother someone that seems like the best course of action. But why would they be embarrassed?

Because of the unwritten gym rule...what about the library? A nice quiet place to talk, you can find a place hidden from most people, right?

Choose who you talk to carefully, because once some of the guys there know you've been talking and flirting with one of them then the rest may follow the bro code and avoid you because they think you are interested or seeing the previous guy and they don't want to spoil that guys chances with you. Then again they could also careless.

I don't know, I'd let men approach you, we're too busy to be trying to get your attention, but the guys really interested will make time for you. Wait for them, we don't like tobe bothered in the gym and we'll think you're just bring friendly. I have female friends I just say hi to at the gym, but I take their friendly nature at face value.

I think you should talk to them after their workout completely, maybe while theyre making their protein shake. I don't speak for all guys but I prefer to stay focused on my workout but feel to talk to me once I'm done.

If you want to talk to them wait till their done with deadlifts. After my last deadlift set I always feel like a god and am ready to fight or have sex

Sweet. Even if I've still got sweat marks on my clothes? I happen to work hard when I go to the gym. I like the burn, but the burn doesn't like my clothing.
