Gym question: Should guys exercise their glutes?

Every muscle in the body should be worked. That being said, unless you're trying to create the appearance of a large round bubble butt (like women do), the glutes are worked sufficiently by compound/functional movements, so adding isolation work on top of those (like women tend to do in their workout programs) is usually unnecessary.

Pretty much. Heavy, deep squats give you quite huge ass. Quys with heavy, raw squats can spot each other in a gym that way :-D. More important that strwngth is maintaining some muscle tone in glutes throughout the day so the correct posture is maintained.

Yes. Glutes are essential for correct posture. When they are weak the lumbar spinal erectors take over their work and become owerworked and hypertonic leading to back pain and hyperlordosis.

Plus it will help 'lift' your butt which is very nice to look at. Girls will notice if you work it enough

Squats are a form of glute work out, so it's fine to work on them. If you are embarrassed, just do the exercises at home!

I don't see why not. I mean you might not want to grow an ass like most women want to, but I wouldn't ignore that part. Might as well work every muscle part on me to keep everything balanced. Plus as a bonus I might get more attention from the opposite sex

Definitely work your glutes. You don't even need to work them in isolation. By pushing your hips forward when doing deadlifts, you'll tighten up your glutes.
