My mom will buy a case occasionally, and I'll drink them, but I tend to re-use the bottles as much as I feel is reasonably still okay. If a bottle of water has been sitting in my car in the sun, I won't finish it and I won't re-use the bottle. Generally, I just drink tap water. I don't LIKE city water because of the fluoride content, but it's free, so I'll drink it most of the time. I grew up drinking tap water that came from my grandma's well, so I'm used to that and kind of like the slight mineral taste. My mom's house shares a well also with a couple neighbors. I've been basically living with my boyfriend for a while now, and I so wish we had a well because it's so much better for you, but unfortunately we get city water just like everyone else who lives in the middle of town, haha. =P

+1 yI like it.
I drink it.
It's my right to drink it.
Anyone who tries to step on that right, watch your back.
Have a nice day :)12 Reply- +1 y
I would prefer it didn't contain anything nasty, I'll give you that.
+1 yDepends where. But most of it IS actually tap water. It's a big scam lol. And I might drink bottled water if someone gives me some, I don't care one way or the other. People are too much of pansies these days. Doubt any of it is as bad as they think.
10 ReplyI drink whatever water is available unless it's coming from an unsanitary source.

I'm sure if there was proof, then the company that manufactures that water would be completely decimated by the media backlash. It may not go through the same filter process as tap water, but it's certainly safe to drink. Remember, businesses want to make money, not kill customers.

Not the fumes, but some of the oil used to make the bottles does get into it. I think it's naive of you that you think the corporation really cares about it's customers. these effects normally don't happen immediately and this is why they can get away with it. regulating to them means loss in profit and they don't want that of course. Come on dude, just watch it. it's not like michael moore at all.

Whoa there, I never said that all corporations care about their customers. Corporations are out to make money. The best way to make money off of consumables is maintain goodwill with customers so they continue to purchase the product.
The fallacy that I see in this documentary is known as converse error. They make a convincing argument using unethical business practices and bottled water as the main premises. - +1 y
Just because Company A produces bottled water in a way that harms the environment does not mean that bottled water causes harm to the environment. Company A's unethical business practices cause harm. They could produce condoms for all I care, the fact of the matter is that you can't blame the product. You blame the company.
- +1 y
There's some pretty conclusive evidence that these corporations don't acknowledge one bit that their products do any harm, and yet there are a few scientists who tested the water themselves and found all of these toxic reagents in the water. You really won't know this documentary is bad until you actually watch it for yourself. until then you are just speculating.

Of course, the documentary wasn't direct about their message. They used a medium (bottled water) that they believed could strike a nerve with the masses.
Just because a company uses unethical business practices does not mean ALL companies do.
Just because Company A uses unethical business practices does not mean that the universal (all bottled water) causes disease or terminal illness. - +1 y
I've got a dilemma for you to answer, Kain.
Your neighbor is a registered sex offender. He cooks amazing brownies and chooses to sell them to make a living. In America, he is legally free to do so.
You buy his brownies because they are delicious and absolutely the best you've ever had. Now, does purchasing his brownies send a message that you support sex offenders? - +1 y
That's not analogous to what the documentary is saying. Instead it would be more like, the guy is a trusted baker who makes great tasting brownies me and all my friends and their friends eat them, and many of those people who ate and loved them got sick a few weeks or months later. That would send me a message that something isn't right, and it wouldn't be a stretch to think the brownies may be responsible. Then a scientist goes and tests the brownies and finds rat poison or something in them..
- +1 y
Every single one of the brownies he makes. That would then send me a message that the guy who made and sold these brownies mislead us to believe these were good brownies made with good ingredients. and then when you confront him with the results he denies responsibility because he wants to save face, like what these water bottle companies do.
+1 ywho gives a f*** lol I mean its water lots people drink it we should just be glad its as clean as it is because other people have to drink brown water so I love it its all I drink besides my sweet tea(:

+1 yI don't drink bottled water specifically. If my family and I are going on a vacation where it's a long drive, we'll get a few cases, but that's about it. I so tend to reuse the bottles a few times, though.
10 ReplyI don't understand why people quit drinking from the tap, and actually drive to the store to buy bottled water.

Tap water always has that metallicy taste to it if I remember correctly. I haven't had it in a while11 Reply374 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Why pay for bottled water. I prefer fresh water from the tap in a reusable bottle that I carry around. Its way cheaper and much better for the environment.
