Bacon... Crispy or soft?

Question

My sister and I have always been the odd ones out in my family. Where the rest like their bacon crispy (Very crispy, in my mom's case. Borderline charcoal is how she likes most any meat), my sister and I think it tastes burnt when it's that well done. We prefer ours soft and chewy (not gristly and fatty, but soft enough that it droops decently). Most people that I know either seem to like theirs crispy or don't have a preference, so I thought I'd see what you all thought. Are my sister and myself in the minority, or do you guys like your bacon soft, too?

I like it soft and chewy! It has to be able to bend without breaking. Crispy bacon is gross. It's just too...hard. It tastes burnt, it's just not good lol

I had this same argument with my family on Christmas. I cooked breakfast but I made all the bacon soft and chewy and I noticed my dad was eating any. He proceeded to say how he liked his bacon crispy. The family was divided haha.

I prefer it soft. You should try turkey bacon; it's already cooked when you buy it, so you can just throw it on the skillet for a couple minutes and it'll be nice and floppy. :)

I like mine somewhere in between. I also think it taste a bit burnt when it's really crispy. I just like it to taste good and that isn't the case whenever it's very crispy.

I like it soft, no homo.  Crispy just seems weird to eat, the taste is kind of gone and just not as good.

Soft! Someone else on here asked a question about bacon asking to rate it and I gave it a 4. Every time I eat bacon its hard, I think I would like it more if it were soft.

I like it somewhere in the middle. I don't like it so crispy that if you drop it, it will shatter, and I don't like it so soft that it looks slippery like it's been cooked in the microwave.

Soft for sure! That's when it's the best, I agree when it's overcooked to the point it's crispy it tastes burned & it's just terrible.

Good question lol. I like crispy when I eat bacon by itself, like for bacon and eggs. If I have a BLT sandwich though I like it to be a litter softer so it doesn't crumble under my bread.

I like it when I cut all the fat off and then bake it or microwave it. that way it is not burnt or too crispy.
