One of my lecturers/ tutorial teacher at Uni is every so often scratching his crotch and I find myself always distracted by him doing it. I feel like such a perv for looking but 1.) he's right at the front of the class teaching 2.) the PowerPoint he runs to help us take notes down is projected on a big screen behind him.

Suppose it doesn't help that I and many of the other females in the class find him attractive but still... Ugh I should probably seek professional help lol

- what should I do to pay attention to the lecture material?

- should I suggest to him that he get checked for crabs or tell him about how awesome waxing is for hair removal?

- lastly, do men even realize they're scratching themselves as often as they do?

Well, nothing wrong with your hormones! lol So, it seems that you cannot control this, right? You need to get him to stop, so I would advise you to do one of two things.

1. anonymously call his office & leave a message saying that you enjoy his lectures but find it distracting that he scratches his groin area so much.

2. write an anonymously note/email of the same nature & send him.

You do not need to elaborate on it, he will get the picture & I'm sure he will take note & reduce or stop his Michael Jacksoning.

On another matter:

1) Change your belief, say that maybe he's got a catheter due to a medical condition (e.g. something he can't help)

2) You should find another teacher if it's truly bothering you

When I scratch I know I'm scratching but to be honest you should tell him when he's scratching that how awesome waxing is so he can stop scratching...

I didn't realize scratching my crotch could actually attract women.. I guess imma do it more often :s because if you say many girls find him attractive then well trying won't hurt

What should you do to pay attention to the lecture material? Look at the slide show and listen, stay with your mind on the subject instead of looking at his crotch to see if and why he does 'it' again and asking yourself "Who is the perv in the class room?"

He probably does it because he hasn't found good fitting underpants yet or because they shrunk a bit in the dryer.
