How do I tell my parents I'm getting a nose job??

Question

I'm 22 years old and I still live with my parents (Mostly  Because of cultural reasons to be honest). I'm getting a nose job in a few months (in December) and I still Haven't told them that I will be doing this operation. Is there a way I can tell them without them freaking out? (They usually do, even about small things.) And how bad can it go that I go through the operation without telling them and that I tell them afterward ? will it be worse ?

I seen a trick on TV before the person was doing something that they knew their parent's wouldn't like so they said they were doing something 10X worse and than had his parents "talk him down" to something they wouldn't mind as much, which was the original plan he had before.

I'm not saying you should do this but you could say something like you were thinking about moving out or getting a nose job. let them freak out about you moving out than tell them fine I'll just get the nose job... [I'm not sure if that would work or make things worse because it is from a TV show and reality usually turns out different.]

hhmm, your parents are gonna freak if you tell them straight up. If your still planning to go on with the operation, I'd wait to tell them after you did it like you planned.

They'll be upset and everything, but what's done is done. I just hope they can forgive you afterward, no one here will know if they do, we can't help you on that one.

I guess your really really disappointed with your nose if your gonna go through with it, I've heard plenty of middle eastern getting their noses reduced. Want my Chinese nose? hihihi

Whether you tell them before or after they will still not like and disagree with it.

Its not a win/win situation.

Just tell your parents before you do it but have your mind already made up.

Respectfully listen to their views, but tell them you are a adult and it is ultimately your decision.

You have to live your own life.

Either way, you're going through with the nose operation.

You're paying it yourself, they shouldn't have any say.

Just tell them a week or a month before your nose job. So, that will give them time to get their mind together and just accept it.

just tell them and if you think they will overreact tell them you are correcting it cause it sometimes gives you trouble breathing, that always works.

Tell them!  They might freak out but they'll probably freak out more if you tell them after the nose job.

if you are paying for it I don't get what the problem is..but I think it's smarter to tell them before they may be more angry that you hid it from them
