How long before you delete/discard a contact?

If someone flirts with you and gives you their number, how long do you wait before deleting/discarding the information if you don't hear from them? (Presuming, of course, that you have tried to contact them and they just didn't respond.)

A week or less.

Two weeks.

Three weeks/a month.

A few months.

Never.

I just cleaned out my cell contacts not too long ago actually. I'd say a month at most...kind of irritating when you text someone and they don't text back, so why bother keeping their number? If for some reason they do decide to text at a later date, after have deleted their number, I just ask who it is and when they complain about why I don't have their number I just say I got a new phone (I must get a new phone quite a bit then :P).

When they do that, I tell them straight up that I didn't think they were interested, haha.

I voted E. I really do forget most of the time because I get more calls or texts from friends and don't see the number until later.

If it is a person I am very tempted to text I would wait a few weeks then delete so I wouldn't be able to contact someone who doesn't seem interested.

I voted 'E' cause I'd never delete it cause it's a small world and you never know when someone will call / contact you. If they've ignored me there may be legitimate reasons for doing so and ALSO I want to know when that particular person is calling / contacting me so that I know then what to do :)

Normally I try to contact a person once and if they don't answer then I wait until they call me. as far as the number goes I throw them away within a week or so.

no problem you have to. if someone doesn't call within the first week they are probable not going to call.

I usually don't care enough to go through and delete them, so I end up doing it whenever I'm looking through and realize they're there, or occasionally decide to clean out my phone in general.

Thanks, I see them when my phone prompts a sync and don't commit to a permanent sync till about three weeks have passed.

Usually it gets buried by people that are texting me and I'll forget about it.

So you never suddenly get a text/call out of the blue and think "Who's this?" because you have the number in your phone already... Does it bug you at all if you don't hear from someone in a long while, then get a random "booty call" from them?

C. A month. But if you delete their number, you will never know if it's them calling you after that. Unless you're trying to prevent yourself from calling...

Haha, yes, that's how I used to think, but actually it just becomes a temptation to call (or drunk text "Happy New Year!" when you send that mass text to all your friends).

Probably not much over a week/two weeks. If it was even close to being that long AND they would also be not replying to me as well...obviously they aren't interested. I'd have to say ya snooze ya lose.

3 days I haven't heard from them after I contacted them, I delete. especially if I know I would be tempted to try again.

I haven't experienced is really because usually there is some contact but when the communication stops I may wait between one and two weeks.
