I worked as stripper, what to tell my parents about money I have?

I'm 19 student and live with my parents.

My mother always notice if I have new dress, anything new.

I worked for 2 months as a stripper , now I decided to stop it because I don't like to work like this.

But I could earn big money during this time. I want to spend it going for a trip with friend, and buy cool clothes.

But my mother will be shocked that I have money for such trip or seeing my new clothes.

She isn't stupid, and knows that I woun't earn so much doing part-time jobs.

I was thinking about telling her that I won his money..

what do you think I can say and it won't sound fishy?

I feel compelled to answer this with an answer you won't like. I think you should just tell your mom the truth. She's going to smell a lie no matter what you say and you will only hurt her and your relationship if you lie to her. I suspect you'll also feel guilty about lying to your parents, I usually do. This causes stress that you do not have to have. If you just tell her how you got the money she will be mad and possibly disappointed, but also proud that you stopped on your own and don't really want to do it anymore. She will understand where you got the money and can't really stop you going.

I'm assuming you have logical parents like mine. Please tell me if I'm giving them too much credit.

Yeah, lol, if your mom or dad would have a coronary from the idea of their little girl being a stripper, probably a good idea to invent a story. Even use the uni facilities to fabricate corroborating evidence, complete with logos and "tax withholding" data.

Just keep in mind, this particular scheme will only work once with them. It will be very hard to convince them later on you won a second time.

But, after the "winnings" story, when you return from vacation, you can use the "I got a promotion mommy!" story to inflate your wages, again, fabricate evidence. This way, your parents perceive you as earning a higher than usual wage for your typical part time gig.

Don't tell her the truth, whatever you do. Tell her you won money on the lottery. She will believe it, denial is a strong emotion. No parents want hear there baby is a stripper. When you get older then drop this little unknown fact about you. They will probably be shock, but they will laugh it off.

Your mom will be so embaressed ... Just put the money in a bank account and stop spending much, and tell her you have been saving for the trip etc, and please stop stripping, it will haunt you forever.

There is no real way to go about it. The truth may not "hurt them" as much as you think. It really depends on the kind of parents you have. Being 18+ you are an adult who can make your own decisions. However, they can also kick you out(I doubt they would though for something like that).

My mom found out through a friend of hers who saw me dancing. She was cool with it and admitted she had stripped when she was in college. id say if you're that worried about it, just don't be obvious about the money. personally id be honest though. it'll be a lot worse if she finds out on her own.

Again, we come to the point, that two wrongs don't make a right. Lying to your parents about it isn't going to do anything. You need to get rid of that money to punish yourself so that you won't do something like this again. If you spend it you have a chance to get addicted to the life. You'll get addicted to the easy money. Money only has value when it's spent, though, so either keep it as a reminder of your mistake or give it to a charity.

How is she being a terrible person? I don't know what she's actually thinking or how her life is but guess what people have different cultures and different lives to yours where their parents might even disown them or kick them out if they find out their kid does something like that, not everyone has accepting parents or parents who could just come around and accept it eventually. Like I said I don't know how she thinks but seems like it's not that she's ashamed maybe she's just scared of her mum's reaction. And in this situation she even said it she lives with her parents. This isn't me saying She definitely has strict parents this is me saying maybe think about the fact that people don't have the same life as u and aren't in the same family situation as u. And I dont even know how your life is but by judging off of this comment seems like you've got a pretty accepting surrounding, which is good for you if that is the case but not everyone has that advantage so you can't tell people they're a bad person for being in an unfortunate situation.

I'm a go-go dancer. They don't need to know how much money you have. Just say you saved your money. I've just lied and said I work somewhere else and no one really questions me. They ask how work is and I say good then change the subject.
