So there is this guy who rides the same train and bus as me everyday. We typically end up sitting directly across from each other on the bus because its pretty full up by the time it gets to our stop and on the train we stand in the same area, ride in the same car as well.
I'm not the best (aka the worst) at this whole flirting thing and typically will avoid eye contact with any guy I find attractive/am very aware of myself and apparently have gotten so good at hiding the fact that I'm nervous from others that not even my closest friends can tell. (All very counterproductive when wanting to talk to unfamiliar guys I know.)
So recently I figured I'd actually make the effort to make eye contact with this guy on my bus/train route. So one day I we made eye contact while on the train directly across from each other, the next day we made eye contact while sitting across from each other on the bus. After we made eye contact on the bus he took a few steps farther down the platform to get in a different car than the one he typically is in with me everyday (which is also farther from the steps he uses when he gets off at his stop).
Did I do this wrong?
