If you had to choose between freedom or security, what would you choose?

Lets say that there are two communities, in one community you are allowed to do what you want and work with what you want but there is no guarantee if you will be able to survive. In the other community, you have housing but you are obliged to work and marry with what the community members decide.

Which would you choose?

Freedom

lol, the poll results do not reflect the way our nation has handled things. Otherwise we wouldn't have been OK with the patriot act and would have had more rallies against it, we wouldn't be OK with the way we are treated by the NSA, we would be more outraged by drones as a whole, we'd be more outraged by the SOPA, PIPA, CISPA, etc acts that continue to be pushed for, etc.

I'll continue agreeing with this great quote forever (well, paraphrase, no one's entirely sure what the original quote was from the man):

I have a child, so I had to go with security. I have to be able to provide, you know? But if it were just me, I would have gone with freedom. It's different when you have only yourself to fend for than when you have someone to look after.

Freedom. No one is going to tell me what to do and you can't rely on anyone else to provide "security" for you, I can do that for myself. Just my opinion.
