Is Obama care sexist?

I have heard this argument that since women go to the doctor more then they should pay more for health insurance. The same way men pay more for car insurance. seems pretty legit to me.

OK, I don't know much about this, but just to make some points...

Premiums are based on total risk. By risk, I mean total payouts. Going more often doesn't mean higher payout. I don't know if it's true, but I've heard women go in for preventive maintenance more often than men. That can lower costs in the long run.

Left on their own men seriously neglect going to the doctor. Men want to "shake it off" when something goes wrong. This can result in much higher payouts by the insurance companies. Supposedly this is the reason married men live longer, because their wives make them go to the doctor and it ends up saving their stubborn ass from dying.

Also, men are much higher risk takers. Come on, admit it, men do a lot of stupid and dangerous sh*t. They also do a lot of violent sh*t. That stuff gets expensive.

The point is that it's not a matter of how often they go, but what the total payout is. I have no idea of the answer, but it wouldn't surprise me if the payout for men is higher.

Let's be clear about something - sexism ONLY "exists" when it is against women. This is just another example of many.

Health insurance costing more for females = "sexist"

Car insurance costing more for males = "not sexist".

Any issue that can be spun to appear sexist against females gets attention and traction. The exact same issue, if it were against men instead, would get zero attention. "Sexsim" against men is prevalent and perfectly acceptable in the eyes of society.

The issue here is two-fold. It's a matter of politics because "women's issues" buy votes while men's issues don't. The reason women allow that to happen is because they are self centered and don't care about men. I'm sure I'll get hate for that but the facts are very clear here.

You shouldn't have to pay more just because of your gender. Do you have to pay more car insurance if you are a man or do you mean that men pay more in general under the same rules that apply for women? Because it would be bullsh*t if you have to pay more just because of your sex.

Pretty much they say men are more likely to get into accidents when driving so because of the statistics they charge higher premiums for men.

Insurance rates are pure math. It's all about statistics and risk. If one group has a statistically higher risk then their premiums are higher. That's just how insurance works.

That line of reasoning seems logical to me. If men should have to pay more for car insurance (and they do indeed pay more, go to a car insraunce site and get a quote for a man and woman with identical details, the man pays more), why shouldn't women pay more for health insurance, since they go to the doctor more often. ObamaCare itself is a failure though, my health insurance just went up $300 a month because of Obama, that's a lot of money.

It's legit. Girls do require more medical attention than men do. Granted, there should be some sort of compromise for women who rarely need to see a doctor.
