Do guys make extended eye contact In a conversation to show interest?

If a guy makes extended eye contact with a girl when talking to her, is that a pretty good indicator of interest?

I was talking to this guy and while we were talking he just looked into my eyes for a good three seconds. It doesn't sound like long, but it felt really long!

I think three seconds or so is definitely longer than what is considered to be socially normal lol.

I held it for a while but I eventually broke it because it felt too long.

Guys don't normally do that with me. I'm just wondering if guys make extended eye contact to signal interest in a girl, because I know I do when I want to flirt with a guy.

Yes, it is true, he was showing you his interest.

Hopefully you can get him to look longer, then you will start to see how much likes you..every second of holding his eye contact is all about building a bond of trust. Solid eye contact is the best way to break the ice and easily tell if the guy is making a strong connection with you.

So let your instincts be the judge, if you feel he likes you, odds are he does.

I sometimes find myself looking into a girls eyes who I like for longer than I would normally. It's not on purpose though, it just happens.

I also look into someones eyes longer than usual if I want to see if they understood what I just said.
