Do you breath audibly at the gym?

So today I realized I breathe loudly when I'm working out at the gym and I got very embarrassed...not only breathing loud but making exertion sounds...i didn't realize Because I always wear loud music...any other girls or guys have this...is it embarrassing for you?

To me its embarrassing because men look at women all the time in the gym and breathing loudly may be a turn on for them.

If you aren't breathing heavily and making exertion noises then you aren't trying hard enough. The only people I feel should be embarrassed are those folks that seem to think that the cardio machine is the best place to take a cell phone. Its not that they're gasping out words, they just have it set to such a low speed that they stroll while I get stuck trying to tune out their conversation.

You never know who you'll run into at a gym, though. I remember getting off the machine after an hour and grabbing the cleaning spray to wipe it down. Some girl standing by it actually said 'Ew, you're SWEATING!' as if I should be embarrassed about it.

Ha ha ha! So funny! Some people are just lazy as crap. Although I'm no exception, but at least I admit it. People like the ones you are talking about are even worse than me almost, they exercise to death, yet still never get anywhere. After a while, they look like these people link and ago almost 20 years from too much cardio.

Yeah I do but it's because my chest is concave so I just have to breath a little harder when I get going. Does your chest cave in a little bit at your sternum? Because if so then that's why. Anyways I wouldn't really worry about it because most people have music on at the gym so they wouldn't even notice. Plus I would be expecting someone to be working up a sweat at the gym so breathing wouldn't be anything that would seem out of place.

I breath loudly when I'm working out hard but I don't care if anyone else hears me.. and I think it's really hot when I hear men breathing hard while they're working out, lol.. I know I'm probably nuts, but I can't help it! ;)

No, I'm a pretty quiet breather. But breathing loudly at the gym is normal. No one should be embarrassed from being out of breath from exercising at the gym

I doubt many guys will be turned on by your sweating and breathing at the gym lol, if they're even close enough to hear it.

I the gym it isn't. Well it depends on how loudly it is. But breathing audibly in the gym is quite normally.

If you can be in an effort with your heartbeat above 150, without breathing audibly, you're better than me (won't say that is a reference... I'm sporting but not an athlete).

Keep working out and keep breathing audibly. Better than to sit in the sofa!

If I do breath loud or make noises, then there's nothing I can do about it because I watch myself with things like that. I saw a guy doing bench presses, LOL! ... one...AAAAHHHHHHH two... AHHHHHHHHHHH, 3... AHHHHHHHHHHHH! 4... I got so annoyed, I told the PE teacher in college if you don't tell that guy to shut up, I will. He was ridiculously loud though. He was also doing the work out wrong which made it worse, with his but far in the air.

I may breath heavier when doing intense cardio and not realize it. I don't get embarrassed of it though because I'm toned into my own world with my music, haha. Sometimes I may make some noises lip singing the music actually. Must look like a nut sometimes, lol.

When I'm doing some of the heavier weighted exercises, I'll exhale or make a little noise out loud. Or when I'm trying to catch my breath during a rest, I'll breath noticeably to try and control my breathing.

And no, it's not embarrassing. When did breathing when you're doing physical activity become an embarrassment, and for what reason?

Yeah or sometimes I'll make noises. I just don't grunt really loud as if no one else could hear me like I was screaming at someone in my to gtfo of the way when I'm late :p.

Im so glad I'm not alone. I always hear people talking about grunters and was afraid I was in that category but I'm not super loud..but I did notice the lady next to me looking over.

Make one or two really deep and loud inhales and exhales, but I breath quietly after that. This method helps me cool down better compared to continuously breathing loud.

Breathing loud is kind of acceptable at the gym because when you workout you get your heart rate up. Duh. There's not reason to feel embarrassed about it when you're in that environment.

And I only breath loud after I get off the tread mill.

making effort you can even pee a little yourself...! doesn't matte how loud do you breath!
