Start exercising regularly at least 3 days a week to start off then slowly move up to 5 days a week: (minimum of 45 minute Cardio mixed with some weights every other session to tone up).
Mix the exercises up: Aerobics one day, Jazzercise the next, swimming, biking...this will help keep your muscles from getting used to the routine.
Eat Healthier: Less to NO caffeine is great, More water, more veggies, less eating out, little to no fast food.
Meals: Eat smaller and more frequent meals throughout the day (5 meals, smaller portions)
Treat yourself: Treat yourself to some treats every now and again so you don't go crazy.

Run/jog, work out, and drink a lot of water. That's what keeps me fit =) but I don't know if you can lose weight by an exact date... it depends on the person. I know that my mom loset quite a bit from watching what she ate and drinking water a lot everyday.
watch what you eat, eat 5 small meals a day, exercise, participate in active things when not in the gym, get new hobbies like running, biking, roller blades, get some new friends that are into working out.
start reading health magazines, remember its going to take time so stick with it and don't give up...make small goals and once you accomplish them make another and then another...keep going, you can do it, be positive...good luck

weight watchers, my mom was obese and she just watches what she eats and takes a mile walk every night. she went from a size 20 to a size sixteen in about 4 months
