I think all 5 have some positive things to offer.
- McD's is just solid fast food in general, even if their McNuggets have hairs inside the meat. It's nothing ever really special, but nothing really sucks, either. Well, their fries are awesome. And I love their bfast. And sometimes I just crave a big greasy DQP/double cheeseburger or nice Chicken deluxe sandwich. I honestly believe they're under-appreciated for how tasty their food is. But the past handful of months, I've only been eating bfast there. Haven't really craved their lunch/dinner items recently...

- BK has that great flamebroiled taste. ... that's about it for me

- Wendy's is really good. Quality ingredients. Their chicken and REAL bacon may be the best of the 5. Frostees are awesome. Salads (yes, salads) are really good.

- Jack in the Box is just so diverse and balanced. I'm not a huge fan of their burgers, but their chicken and other stuff is nice. Tacos, egg rolls, milkshakes galore, baconcheddarpotatowedges, etc...

- Carl's Jr may have the best burger of all MAJOR fast food chains when they use fresh ingredients. I love their burgers. I don't like the changes to their chicken sandwiches, but I can find that fix elsewhere. Awesome breakfast too. I tend to dislike their commercials...

Anyway, BK has no chance for my vote. As much as I like McD's, they dont have a chance either. Wendy's I respect a lot. like, A LOT. But... they just lack that oomph to keep me coming back. Carl's Jr should be the winner... but they kinda lack variety (not counting Green Burrito) and some oomph too.

My vote goes to JitB. Which may have my least favorite burgers of the 5. But the rest of their menu - quality, diversity, freshness, etc - is just too good to pass up.

Jack in the Box and Carl's Junior aren't in the eastern US and I don't know if they have international at all.

Of the first three I'd pick Wendy's. But I only eat fast food a few times a year.

When I lived in Cal, I didn't really care much for Carl's Junior. I thought they were dry and boring. TBH I don't remember Jack in the Box much. The place I miss in Cal is Jimboy's but I think that's only the central valley.

Carl's Jr = Hardees in the East. But no Jack in the Box? really? That's a travesty if true.

Oh yea, I forgot about Hardees. There aren't many around here and the menu is not really the same.

As for Jack in the Box, I don't know how widespread they are. I think they have them in Texas, but that's about as far east as I remember seeing them.

On the other hand, Wendy's is from Ohio and are much more common in the east. When I lived in Cal there were only a few Wendys at that time.

Burger King.

Reason being I work there and know what goes into making said food and so I trust it more than the others. Also I ate a McDonald's one once and almost threw up - you'd be surprised just how much better the sandwich tastes on a toasted bun as opposed to a nontoasted one lol.

I like Wendy's but been there like twice, never been to Carl's Jr. Burger King is pretty good, but my fave is probably Jack in the Box. Delicious burgers, and I love their curly fries and churros!

Of those, I voted Wendy's (we have all of them). Also, for mid-west/east-coast folks, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are owned by the same people, and are similar, though not the same.

The best chain hamburgers are from Fuddruckers, but they aren't fast-food. The best fast-food burgers are from In'N'Out Burger, but their fries suck. Steak-N-Shake burgers (not here on the west coast) are very similar to In'N'Out's burgers, but the fries are much better.

I've been to a Wendy's once at the beginning of my Gap Year trip. I landed at JFK airport, looked on my iPhone for a Wendy's, went there, bought a Baconator. that shit was so good I bought a second one.

Out of them McDonalds. I only say this as I have only ever been to McDonalds and Burger King and out of the two I prefer McDonalds.

Where I live their is only McDonald's and Burger King so can't say about the the other 3 but between Burger King and McDonald's, I haft to go with Burger King and the Whopper.
