Have you lost any weight on them
Is doing Tae Bo workout just as good as jogging?
Have you lost any weight on them
I've never done Tae Bo but I used to box. Any kind of martial art will do wonders for you because of all the kicking and punching that you're doing. Just try it. Stand up right now... RIGHT NOW... then start punching 1-2 (left then right hand), 1-2 (left then right hand), 3 quick steps to the left then 1-2, 1-2, three quick steps to the right and 1-2, 1-2.
That shit will wear you out quick. So imagine Tae Bo, where you're also kicking. Tae Bo will work you out BETTER than running. That's because you're moving everything and you're doing it with more force. Running is mostly the legs and your arms are more passive than anything. In terms of your heart you are getting more of a work out from Tae Bo because you are pushing yourself along with the video.
Now keep in mind that jogging is NOT running. Jogging is slower than running therefore it's less of a workout. Running is slower than sprinting and therefore less of a workout. To get the most out of your "jogging" you should be SPRINTING. Go as fast as you can for a short distance like 200 meters. If you're a beginner then start smaller, like 50 meters. Do five 50 meter sprints with a full minute break in between. You'll be surprised how tired you are after those.
Thanks...this was helpful:-)
As an aside, I do crossfit as well and those dudes NEVER run but we all know they're fit.
And if I'm helpful then vote me as "most helpful" that way I know for sure ;o)
They're both fine. They can push you in different ways depending on the tempo. Like how fast do you jog compared to how fast the tae bo is will determine what is more effective. Plus if you're the type to get shin splints you may prefer tae bo.
They both are go for cardio, but running works your cardiovascular system like no other exercise. I incorporated different types of cardio into my plan because you have to keep your body guessing.
Both are great cardio workouts, back in the day when I was a 6th grader we didn't run for P.E. we did Tae Bo to Billy Blanks, it was fun since a lot of the kids didn't like running.
