I decided imma wait on it anyway, because my fender is a little scratched up (no comment) and I have full coverage so hopefully someone will fender bender me in a way that makes me get a new one.

The old type are easy enough, they are just 7 pins but the 13 pin ones might be more difficult, I'm not sure.

All you are doing for the 7 pin ones is locating the wires that go into the rear light lens and then connecting the wires as per the instructions.

The hitch itself just bolts on, you might struggle to do or undo the bolts if you only weigh 6lbs but other than that you should be fine.

Assuming that I am understanding you correctly and the damage is on your rear quarter.

The rear quarter is not a removable panel it is an integral part of the chassis, damage to that area generally results in the car being scrapped due to the 2nd hand value of the remaining parts being a more viable option than trying to repair the chassis of the vehicle.

Yes, I installed a trailer hitch on my old Chevy. I got it from the junk pile and drilled some hole in the frame and bolted it on. I towed a 16 foot boat with it. I was a kid when I did this and looking back it was a miracle the boat did not get away from me on the highway.

If you get he hitch designed for your car it should bolt on easy with just a few hand tools.

This hitch came from a junk pile my father had lying around. He must have taken it off one of his old cars. It really was not designed for the car. I never installed one before and just drilled a few holes and bolted it to the frame.

Its tricky, be careful, I am also into cycling. Take care to do it right since it may damage the car and also be careful that it does not fall off. Check are re-check the instructions and check by stopping on the way mid-way too.

yes, several. they are heavy, the bolt holes can be a bit rusty, sometimes have to cut plastic. if you are tenacious you can do it.

Yeah with my brother, it’s not easy but plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it and if you follow the instructions you could do it
