Do you still keep your old CDs even if you never play them anymore?

Well first I hope that AI doesn't rephrase my damn question as it seems to keep rephrasing all my questions, I still have a CD collection, it's in this cool display on my living room wall, I don't have a CD player, I will never play these CDs again, to me. It's just kind of like art and kind of represents the music I like. But I'm getting ready to move to Europe and questioning why the hell I still have these CDs. How about you?

I still have several hundred CDs. I still play them at home and in the car. But mostly I play CDs from the library. They have tens of thousands, so it gives me a chance to try a lot of stuff.

I was also given several hundred CDs by someone else. I've had them for over a year but haven't even gone through all of them to see what's there.

I have about 700 CD's, Super Audio CD's, DVD Audio Discs, And Blue Ray Audio Discs. And I still have a carousel 5 disc player and a high end single disc player. They get used all the time. In addition I still have 2 turntables and a vinyl collection that includes a bunch of limited production direct to disc recordings.

Yes, I still have mine as well. They're in a cd case that I used to keep in my car. New cars dont have cd players anymore, so I don't know why I keep them.

I’m the kind of person who keeps “obsolete” stuff if it still makes me happy to look at it. Old game boxes, collector’s editions, even broken controllers, all feel like memories and mood-setting decor. If I were moving far, I’d only keep the ones that really mean something and maybe digitize or photo-document the rest.

i played some in car stereo a while back when i went on a long road trip , i also came across an old nirvana cd in a donation bin and played it in car and liked it. but haven't really bought any used cd's in a long time

Yeah, though i did try to sell some of them off. Some of them dont work properly though. But I would listen to them if my CD player worked. Sometimes I listen to them in the car

I have like 500, I also backed them up at full quality on external hard disks.

I saw the writing on the wall back in the early 2000s and backed up everything on external hard drives, I also sold off all the ones of my non-favorite bands, I was getting maybe $5 a CD back in the day. Now. I think they're worth maybe a dollar
