Does recreational gaming actually boost intelligence and career success?

I notice all the highly successful Asian men I know like to play video games and most of the intelligent women I know like to play computer games. I have been gaming for around 31 days now, and I find the game playing has helped my career...

Because it is has built my confidence, it has upgraded my strategic creativity, it has boosted my mood, and it has allowed me to find distraction from food or spending indulgences like online shopping or costly social events when I am bored and want to do something with my time.

I told my friend I first began gaming because my career required many decade long goals that could not be accomplished in a merely brief period of time, and I needed minor successes in my daily life in some way shape or form, so I could feel like a winner again.

She told that my that my method for managing emotional discouragement was not helpful or useful, but I found it helped me a lot.
