Christmas is the time of the year to be festive and jolly, but that mere thought is chucked out the window when you have to do grocery shopping during Christmas season.
Let’s paint a picture down memory lane. The endless minutes and hours of finding a parking spot, then there’s finding good deals and sales on certain products, let’s not forget avoiding the massive queues while waiting at the checkout. All of this can be stressful when it’s not really supposed to be at all..

Here are 5 helpful tips to make it through this year’s Christmas shopping without pulling your hair out XP

1. Planning/Creating a Shopping List
Creating a shopping list and planning ahead can help you avoid walking in every aisle through the supermarket. Not only does it save you SO much time, but it makes grocery shopping (in general) easier as you’re not walking around planning on what meals you’d be cooking, and what ingredients you’ll need to make those meals with. You’ll avoid forgetting some ingredients. It’d save you the headache of having to go back to the supermarket to (let’s say) getting a tub of thickened cream *facepalm*

2. Read through the Supermarket Catalogues
Unsure what to make for Christmas dinner?
Having a read through the supermarkets catalogues can give you some great ideas on what to make. Some catalogues even have a recipe and the ingredients you can buy, from that actual supermarket itself, making it even easier.
There are a lot of great sales and deals that you can get, if you read through them. I would suggest jotting down the stores name on your shopping list, with the price and the name of the product you want to get, so you know which store to go to. Catalogues are even sent to your email if you subscribed to them, making it even more convenient nowadays.

3. Go during hours, where there’s not likely to be a lot of people
With every supermarket and/or shop, there’s always an average time where it’s the busiest! Try to avoid those hours. Go during the hours the shop opens, or the last 30 minutes to hour, before the shop closes down to avoid long queues and slow shoppers :P

4. Do your Christmas shopping early
I think this one is a no brainer lol but shopping early on really does wonders. Not only will you be ahead of everyone during the Christmas holidays, but you’d be the one relaxing at home with that hot cup of cocoa in your hands, while everyone else is frantically doing there last minute Christmas shopping

5. Be open to buying things online
Don’t be afraid to do some online grocery shopping. Not only do you just wait for the things to come to your door, but you avoid having to spend endless of hours trying to find a parking spot and being in that cold/hot. Just allow a decent amount of time for your orders to arrive to you, so you don’t go without during Christmas

Well there you have it! All of these tips are of common sense. Sometimes it’s just a good reminder, because we do forget. You can also apply these tips to just shopping in general, it doesn't have to be a certain occasion to plan out your shopping trips ahead :D
I hope everyone has a good Christmas this year and a safe one at that!
