Ok so I have listened to a lot of versions of Christmas songs and I have found a few that have been pretty good covers. I can't remember all of them so I will piece together the ones that I remember.
1. Run Rudolph Run - Mary Karlzen
This is song is a different cut then was on the album it is a little more looser but the background instruments are still rocking in time. It is a surprising female vocal that adds something a little extra to the song
2. Christmas time is here - sixpence none the richer
This is great because it adds an adult flavor to a great Christmas classic
3. The Christmas Song (Holiday Remix)- Christina Aguilera
This adds a little more pep and energy to this Christmas classic and makes for a great selection for a fun Christmas party
4. Carol of the Bells- Destiny's Child
The harmonies are so great here you just get blissfully lost in it...
5. Deck the Halls- Shedaisy
This is another classic that gets sped up a little bit but it really makes you feel good and gives you a bit of energy as well as a plug for Mickey's once a upon a Christmas
6. Christmas Children- SheDaisy
I give them credit for this and they show up a second time on this list because they covered an obscure song from a little known Christmas Carol musical called Scrooge. It was a bold move and they bring a fresh twist to it
7. O Come all Ye Faithful- Stacie Orrico
This is a soulful cut of the Christmas Classic
8. Last Christmas- Billie Piper
Sometimes simply changing traditional gender is all you need to refresh a song
9. Jingle Bell Rock- Aly and AJ
Here is another version where it is taken up a notch in terms of rock, more guitar grinding and more drums then the original. The original is a classic but this is an upbeat fresh take on the song.
10. Winter Wonderland/Don’t Worry Be Happy - Pentatonix
This is great cover that mixes don't worry be happy with a classic Christmas song which helps you to chill out and mellow when you listen to it. and hey it features tori Kelly too!!
