Last year, she lived 80 miles away. She came to my hometown and met me for dinner at a very nice, upscale Italian restaurant. We then went to a lounge for a few drinks and then downtown to witness the fireworks at midnight. At 1 am, she left to return to her home.

Since then, she moved to my hometown and we are living together. So, this year, we will probably repeat those plans, except that we will go home together, and perhaps have our own fireworks! :) :) :)

the thing is, with relationships, friendships etc.. is, we become too "relaxed" in that, we always think our partner or the people we like, are ALWAYS available for us. It's simply not true. We're not ALWAYS available to do stuff with each other, right?

So, while i think she'll be ok getting together for it, i will still ask, just in case she already has plans. probably be doing that tonight, as i go over for Christmas eve

3 years in a row we were nearly slaughtered by drunk drivers (all near misses), where the final year the person blew a red light going well over 90 MPH and scraped our front end as we were just entering the intersection. If he had T-boned us, we'd be long dead. He/She never even slowed down after grazing our car.

After that, we don't go out on NYE anymore. I like life and living.

Well, I am single. I also have many girls I see on a casual basis. One such girl is a Flight Attendant and unless her schedule gets messed up will be here in the morning and stay until Monday. We will be staying in with the exception of maybe a long walk down the beach. I have a small ham thawing for us on Saturday. Then afterward I suspect we will sit and watch NFL football. She is from Ohio and is a big Browns fan. If her schedule gets changed I will stay at home, have some ham, and work!
