Did you make anyone's Thanksgiving special?

I've been away from home going to school 3 hours away. My little brother and my girlfriend missed me, so I surprised both of them by coming home for Thanksgiving. Both were happy to see me, my little brother was ecstatic!! It felt really good surprising them both. Anyone else have a similar experience?

My oldest daughter brought one of her friends to my house. She had a very bad home life and has never had a ‘family’ Thanksgiving. We had her in all our chaos (i had 25 at Thanksgiving). She spent the weekend with me and told my daughter this was the first holiday she felt loved.
