Is it wrong that I don’t want to buy Christmas gifts for niece and nephew or sibling?

I don’t have a relationship with my old sister and she’s been nasty to me over the years. I don’t care to be around her and I have no interest in her children. She’s also never given me a gift for my birthday or Christmas. I don’t want to give her or her kids anything for Christmas. It brings me no joy at all. I rather give to the homeless.

hey i ain't getting gifts for like anyone this year either. they'll get cookies or something. i don't have the money or time or patience especially when i feel like i'm required to get people gifts that i don't even know if they want/have already/or if they will use it. too much pressure. it's just a waste in general, especially during these times.

so i feel you.

I am in a similar situation although do have a better relationship with my brother, he has 4 kids! 4! thats expensive and i know they won't appreciate what i give them, so what i do each year is find a charity or such and buy something from them, so this year i brought some little stuffed animals and keychains from a local animal sanctuary, that way the money goes to a good place regardless.

Unless you are going to spend Christmas with them why would you? You only buy to the group you share Christmas with. If at all, adults can agree to skip presents.
