Our family is older and all over the place, so we don't get together for the holidays. Plus, we learned a long time ago that buying presents for each other doesn't work, so we send each other money for the receiver to buy something they like. Sounds kinda cold... but it works for our "distributed" family.

I get whatever I want any time I want, so there is no really any meaning to the gifts. Hence, just my time with them. That is something important too, I guess.

Only one friend got a cigar, my brother has a board game (as well as booze), my mother has a gift card and I bought myself cigars and cologne

Amazon gift cards and cash - that’s all that everyone has said that’s what they wanted. I got my wife a super quiet hand held mixer from kitchen aid from QVC, since she loves baking. 👍🙂
