I dont know if the celebrate Christmas or Easter but the dates these holidays fall as well as a few others in the western world or Northern hemisphere have been celebrated since pre Christian Times, maybe as far back as before ancient Egypt. So they are just taking a holiday on these days as theor ancestors have done since the dawn of civilisation.

If anyone wasn't aware, Christmas trees are one of the highest atrazine sprayed crops too.
Then when I search "atrazine pubmed" this is the first search results:
