Should we bring back holly beating?

In times gone by a traditional boxing day tradition here was to chase women and beat them with holly branches. It was supposed to bring good luck. The practice died out about 100 years ago.

Now the average family vegetates in front of the TV stuffing themselves with chocolate safe in the knowledge they're not going to get a prickly thrashing. But is that a good thing?

Is it time to bring back good old fashioned traditional values like this? Why do you think people stopped? Do you think if we brought it back it would help the economy?

Should we bring back holly beating?
Feminists. Bloody lefties spoil everything
The practice wiped out most of the country's hollybushes
Women decided to identify as men on that day
So when great granny wrote she had a hundred pricks at Christmas that's what she meant
Everything went downhill when we abandoned traditional values like this
